The Mind, The Projectionist
The Mind works like a movie.
What is a movie?
A movie is a collection of pictures and shots that were taken. While you are watching the movie, you are watching something from the past. But for you and your experience it is seemingly ‘all new’ , as if it is happening ‘right now’. The rapid moving pictures are projected unto a big screen – without you actually being aware of it – unless you look back and see the light where it comes from. Because as you are watching, you genuinely believe that ‘the screen’ is actually providing you with the pictures, the movement.
The Mind works the same way.
Your memories are the ‘pictures’, the ‘shots’ that were taken and captured by your eyes. It is the past. Then you will be experiencing something or finding yourself in a certain situation or event – and will project those ‘memories’ unto your environment without even being aware of it – unless you dare to take a look inside and see what is really going on. Because at first, it seems like it is your environment that is providing you with the experience that you are having – but actually, it all just comes from the back of your mind.
It is to see and realise that you are the creator of your experience and that you are the actual ‘cause’ of where this experience comes from. It is to look beyond the Veil that is your screen and see what is actually going on.
